Description

Parenting is not easy! Do you sometimes wish your child came with a manual? While you can't always know the "right" things to do for your child, you can come to better understand what is going on inside of them and learn how to respond to your kids to foster their development. In this presentation, "Parenting: Creating Emotionally Healthy Children & An Emotionally Healthy You", you can discover new strategies to help your child navigate strong emotions and traumatic events. You will also learn about your own emotions and how to care for yourself to better care for your child.

Learning objectives:

1. Learn more about what is going on inside of you, the parent, and how to handle your own emotions

2. Understand child brain development and what you can do to foster their growth

3. Learn specific skills to help you respond to your child in more constructive ways
