Description

Milestones in Young Children’s Language & Literacy

Parents and caregivers of children ages three to five, join us for a conversation about children’s early language and literacy milestones. This unique opportunity combines two experts in the field – Molly Ness (professor of reading) and Donna Eduardo (speech language pathologist). We aim to address the following questions:
• What should I expect for my child’s early language and literacy development?
• How can I support language and literacy development at home?

Molly Ness (www.areadingmother.com) is a teacher educator, former classroom teacher, reading researcher, and author. For the past 12 years, she has been a professor of childhood education at Fordham University. Donna Eduardo (www.donnaeduardo.com) is a speech language pathologist who is on faculty at Rye Presbyterian Nursery School. She is ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certified and specializes in articulation and phonological disorders, as well as language delays and disorders.
