An exciting opportunity for parents new to the world of Special Education. This means your child has been involved in special education for three (3) years or less.

This training is designed to be the first step for parents in becoming collaborative leaders. Parent Institute connects new parents with resources and guidance in navigating special education in Virginia. Participants will be introduced to the special education process, discover new resources, and have opportunities to network.

This is a free 2-day IN PERSON event. Accepted participants are provided a complimentary hotel room and meals.

  • Day One (June 27): 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Day Two (June 28): 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Parents who are new to the Special Education process interested in taking the next steps towards collaborating as parent leaders.

There are a limited number of spots available for this training so please register early.

You must receive a confirmation from the PEATC office (not just Eventbrite) and commit to participating in the entire training to attend this event.
