Parent Forum #16 (English) - How to Support Your Upset Child or Teen
Event Information
About this event
Trying to offer support when your child or teen seems upset or stressed can feel like tiptoeing through a minefield. Learn how you can help your upset child, especially during moments of emotional intensity (anger, fear, anxiety, frustration).
In this discussion group, you will have the opportunity to interact with other parents like yourself, as well as hear from parent-child communication expert Dr. Magen.
Eran Magen, PhD, is a parent-child communication expert and founder of Parenting for Humans, a relationship-first, trauma-Informed parenting organization. He holds a PhD in Psychology from Stanford University.
Parents/caregivers, educators, mental health professionals, and community members welcome! Free admission.
The Parent Forum is an initiative of the Sequoia Healthcare District, in partnership with The Parent Venture. Parent Forums, offered in English and Spanish, focus on parent-child communication and strengthening relationships with your child or teen.
