About this Event

We kick off the new school year with a book study of:

Lost & Found: Helping Behaviorally Challenging Students (and, While You're At It, All the Others) by Ross Greene, PhD

Overview:

This book offers a practical, compassionate, effective approach to helping students with behavioral challenges. We dive into Ross Greene's Collaborative and Proactive Solutions to help teach our most challenging students.

Lost and Found provides educators and parents concrete ways to collaborate and partner with students to help teach students how to effectively advocate for themselves in proactive ways. Using the Assessment of Lagging Skills and Unsolved Problems, educators and parents can begin to identify where students have skills deficits help them work towards creating their own solutions alongside the adults in their lives.

The Details:

Come learn with Christine and other parents how to begin this process with your own family. You don't have to have read the book to join in the conversation. We will discuss the first 40 pages only.

We will meet in the Conference Room in Building E at District Office on Old Orchard Road.
