Vicious Circle
Paradoxx was the premier Chicago metal band back in the early 1980's. They played literally every Chicagoland club but their home base was The Thirsty Whale in River Grove.
They opened for Queensryche, Krokus, Ratt, Blue Oyster Cult among others.
Members went on to other big bands like Radakka and Man-o-war.
