Parade of Lights
Saturday, December 10, 11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
The holiday favorite returns to the waterfront for one-night only!
Join us to watch a parade of boats decorated for the season with music, lights and lots of fun for the entire family. For the first time ever, the parade route is extended. Boats will pass the Battleship New Jersey on the Camden Waterfront, then cruise by Winterfest at the Blue Cross RiverRink on Penn's Landing and loop back around to the Museum. Steve Nikazy returns as emcee and announces the winner of the parade.
United States Coast Guard Cutter DILIGENCE will be on the waterfront for the event to conduct FREE tours for the public. Tours take place December 10 -11 and run from 10 a.m. to sunset.
Arrive early at 11 a.m. to explore the Museum and participate in the festivities, including a pop-up exhibit, arts and crafts, face painting, musical performances by The Philly Pops, a visit from Santa and so much more.
Activities and entertainment are included with admission. Express entry and free access for Museum members.
Santa's Workshop on the Water Participate in the many activities happening in Santa's Workshop on the Water.
- Penny Boat Ornaments: Make glittery sailboat ornaments.
- Tree Cookie Ornaments: Create a rustic hand-made ornament cut straight off of a tree bough.
- Cedar Chains: Construct Holiday chains using cedar strips.
- Gingerbread Boats: Create and decorate a gingerbread boat. Gingerbread boats available for purchase.
Citizen Science Lab "Snowglobe Submarines" Cartesian Divers take place in our Citizen Science Lab. Make a take-home snowglobe submarine.
WOGL rocks the Museum by playing holiday classics and providing a soundtrack to Parade of Lights.
Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase at the Museum.
