Paper Marbling Postcards
Event Information
Description
About the Class:
In this workshop you will learn the ancient process of paper marbling by making a set of 5 postcards to take home (more if we have time!). You will learn some marbling techniques used by the masters and then be free to experiment and play on your own.
All the materials will be included, and you’ll leave with a handmade set of postcards and instructions so you can continue marbling at home.
About the Instructor:
Ellyn is a queer artist and educator from Elgin, TX. She makes one-of-a-kind marbled paper earrings, journals, and other paper goods. She believes that art is a powerful way to better understand ourselves, build community, deepen our understandings of social issues, and empower youth to make change. Though she has worked in many different mediums, paper marbling has captured her heart with its therapeutic nature, rich history, and for the joy it brings to people when they make a piece for the first time.
