Description

Paper Kusudama Flower Class

Artists-in-Residence: Joleen Sheldon

Learn the Japanese art of modular origami. What is modular origami? It is origami redefined by creating many identically folded units that are glued together. This Kusudama Flower class will guide you through the origami folds and assembly as we build a five petal flower together. These flowers have endless creative uses and make perfect accents for home decor and personalized gifts. You can also create 12 flowers in your time outside of class and glue them into a Kusudama Flower Ball . Once you know the modular origami folds and construction taught in this class you can create endless forever flowers. You may bring your own paper to class and build flowers with materials that are sentimental and meaningful to you, or just come and use the materials provided.
