Event description

Description

In this workshop you will make a Native Australian Tea Tree (like the one pictured) using beautiful German doublette crepe paper and assorted florist supplies. By the end of the day you will have a complete floral arrangement, including multiple blooms, bud balls and foliage, assembled into your own unique piece. The skills you learn will be transferable to other paper flower projects, with lots of tips and advice for those wishing to learn more about the art of paper flower making after the day's end.

All materials supplied. NOTE: Participants will need to bring their own small 15-20cm vase for display of their flowers. BYO lunch and snacks. Tea and coffee provided.

About Zoë
Zoë Baeten has always adored flowers. As a young girl she often arrived late to school, having stopped on her way to decorate her hair with blooms stolen from neighbours' front gardens! At University Zoë studied sculpture and 3D art, and developed a love for beautiful paper and paper sculpture. Inspired by artists such as Livia Cetti and Jennifer Tran, her passion for paper flower making was ignited. Zoë now collects, studies and recreate the flowers that she loves using various papers and techniques.

She says ‘The colours, forms and beauty of flora in nature, make the possibilities for paper flower art endless.’
