Introducing Heather Gibson

Heather Gibson is a DMV native who received her Bachelors in Theatre from University of Maryland, College Park. With an array of theatre and film credits, her talents have taken her beyond her wildest dreams including performing at The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts and sharing space with artists whom inspire her daily. A playwright as well, Heather has written plays that have been performed in Festivals at Anacostia Playhouse, staged readings at University of Maryland and Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company. She writes with the focus on holding safe spaces for black women when it comes to the harsh realities colorism brings to our world. She is beyond excited to share her writing and passion for storytelling through the DC Black Theatre Festival. Look momma I made it!
