Description

We are excited to annouce our Panhandle Orphan Summit! This is a collaborative effort of many of the Foster Care and Adoption Agencies in our area. Our goal for this event is to raise awareness of the need for foster and adoptive families and support for those that do. We also wish to provide training for professionals and foster/adoptive families of situations that children face. Friday will be focued on professionals with a training that will cover Trust Based Relational Intervention. We will also have other classes going on simultaneously on: Boundaries and Self Care, Upcomming Legislations, Normalcy, and many others to choose from. On Saturday, which is geared toward the general public and foster/adoptive families, we will have a traning that will cover Trust Based Relational Intervention and other classes like: What to Expect as a Foster Parent, Normalcy, Identifying Different Forms of Abuse, Sensory Development Issues, Other Ways to Be Involved in the Orphan Crisis, and many others. This event is open to ALL! Foster/adoptive parents are free, and we are selling tickets for others, to help cover the cost of this event. Training hours are available to attendees.
