Panel Discussion: Through The Lens Of Bruce Davidson

Please join us for an in-person discussion with the Museum staff of the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia. Founder and Director Dr. David Pilgrim, Collections Manager Cyndi Tiedt, and Education Coordinator, Jennifer Rose Hasso will discuss Time Of Change: Documenting The Civil Rights Movement Through The Lens Of Bruce Davidson, an exhibition on display in KCAD’s Alluvium Gallery.

The exhibition showcases 30 photographs documenting the struggles for justice, equality, and desegregation during a time of Freedom Rides, protests, marches, and police violence. You’ll hear about the museum’s anonymous gift consisting of 372 original historic images by renowned photographer Bruce Davidson, Davidson’s impact as a photographer, the importance of this documentation of history, and the future of these works in the museum and beyond.

Time Of Change: Documenting The Civil Rights Movement Through The Lens Of Bruce Davidson, will be open for viewing prior to and after this gallery discussion in KCAD's Alluvium gallery.
