Meet the Panelists

Social Media Strategist, Speaker, and Consultant Ruoyun Xu aims to empower her clients to connect and build relationships with their communities online through education and training. As the founder of C3Nami, she works with her team to help small and medium businesses and entrepreneurs ensure their online presence is in line with their mission and brand, and utilizes social media to it’s fullest level of influence. Ruoyun focuses on a personal one-on-one approach and attention to detail to help her clients walk away with a clear vision and the tools and understanding they need to manage their brand.

Before founding C3Nami, Ruoyun worked in the social media realm before Facebook even had Business Pages in 2010. Her diverse background in sales, marketing, event planning and business development allows her to offer a holistic view of how their digital marketing should operate in the big picture.

Interested in entrepreneurial ideals from an early age and driven by a need to help, Joey McGirr, set out in 2010 to support businesses need to improve their connection with consumers via the social web. Now, as CEO of McGirr Enterprises, Joey spends his time consulting with clients on the most creative ways to get results from their online marketing efforts. He also leads his team to create and implement the latest strategies and tools to aid their clients. Joey has recently taken up podcasting and just launched the Social Media Pro Podcast. A show aimed at supporting the tens of thousands of social media freelance professionals all over the globe. Joey’s passion is connecting people. Thanks to modern mobile technology and social media websites/apps, he’s able to help his clients connect like never before.

Candice Beckmann is a content marketing strategist, storyteller, and the owner of Beckmann Collaborative – a team of professionals cooperatively supporting small business owners in achieving success. She left her home in Queens, New York and followed her entrepreneurial instincts to Austin. In Austin, she applied her extensive experience from performing arts marketing (20 Broadway shows and 360 Carnegie Hall concerts) to high-tech companies and other local startups. Now her focus is on empowering small business owners through training and consulting in customer relationship management, content creation, market research, and marketing strategy.
