About this event

PANdemonium4 flute quartet invites you to the third-annual PANdemonium4 Summer Flute Symposium on Saturday, July 16 in Columbus, Ohio! This annual workshop provides a high-level learning experience including a group warm-up session, three masterclasses, two workshops, a flute choir reading session, a performance by PANdemonium4 and the Symposium Flute Choir, and the inaugural Winner’s Recital of PANdemonium4’s Virtual Ohio Flute Competition. The Symposium is geared towards collegiate flutists, graduate students, and young professionals. Advanced junior high students, high school students, adult amateurs, flute teachers, and community members are also very welcome!

Held from 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM at the Church of the Redeemer, located at 235 McNaughten Road in Columbus, Ohio, registration is $75. Perform in masterclass for Lindsey Goodman, Lisa Jelle, or Alison Brown Sincoff for just $20 more! Masterclass performers can choose to perform accompanied works with Symposium collaborative pianist Kathy Vansant for an additional $20, bring their own collaborative pianist, or perform unaccompanied. Omnivorous and vegetarian boxed lunches from Jimmy John’s are available for an additional $15. Registration is open on Eventbrite through Friday, July 8 at 5:00 PM.

All Symposium attendees perform in the Symposium Flute Choir under the direction of Kimberlee Goodman for a rehearsal and final performance. Bring a music stand, and indicate during registration whether you would like to provide and play an auxiliary instrument. Flute choir music will be emailed to participants in advance for individual preparation.

PANdemonium4 is a flute quartet consisting of Ohio-based teacher-performer professionals Kimberlee Goodman, Lindsey Goodman, Lisa Jelle, and Alison Brown Sincoff representing a diverse group of universities across the state. We share a mutual passion for promoting all things flute in central Ohio and impacting the global future of chamber music collaborations within the setting of the quartet. Our ensemble formed in 2016, and has thus far performed for three National Flute Association Annual Conventions and in seven states. We can be heard in our first studio recording on Bolling & Beyond: Lisa Jelle, Jazz-Inspired Flute, Mark Flugge Remembered.
