Objectives:
At the end of presentation, the participant will be able to
1. Discuss lessons learned during COVID-19 pandemic related to nursing at the bedside in hospitals, nursing homes & long-term care
2. Describe the internal interdisciplinary teamwork and external collaborations necessary to provide patient care in a pandemic
3. Detail how facing and recovering from a pandemic has changed communication and institutional workflow processes.
Continuing Education:
Nurses: The Georgia Board of Nursing deems Southwest Georgia Area Health Education Center (SOWEGA-AHEC) as an approved provider for nursing continuing education (CE). This activity is approved for 1.0 contact hour towards the continuing education competency requirement for Georgia nursing licensure renewal. No partial credit offered. Activity #2021-06A.
Submission of registration information, attendance and successful completion of evaluation/post-test required for nursing continuing education certificates.
