Pancreatic Cancer Celebration of Lights
Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM (CST)
Celebration of Lights
Celebration of Lights is an event to promote and raise awareness of Pancreatic Cancer in the Chicagoland area. November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month and many prominent buildings in the area shine purple to celebrate our survivors and honor those we have lost to the disease. This venue has a beautiful view of the purple lights! We will have Senate President John Cullerton discussing the recently passed Recalcitrant Cancer Research Act and Dr. Mark Talamonti speaking of breaking medical advancements. Appetizers and beverages will be served. It is our hope that through events like this, awareness will be increased, and funds will be raised resulting in earlier diagnoses and improved survival rates. Our Vision of Progress is to Double the Pancreatic Cancer Survival Rate by 2020.
Register Early. Event closes at 100 people. 100% of Net Proceeds to benefit The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
Know It. Fight It. End It.

I lost my husband to this insidious disease in 2009. He was diagnosed and died 15 months later. I have two amazing boys and it turned our lives upside down. We miss him every day. I decided I would not not rest until something was done about this under researched, under funded, and under supported disease. I would love to call this Chuck's Purple Lights, but I know there are 44,000 other families that go through what I went through every year.
And that's why I do this....
