Project Goal

To increase depleted scallop populations in some bays and reintroduce scallops in other suitable areas from which scallops have disappeared. Panama City Workshop Information

Date: June 12, 2020

Workshop Time: 9:00AM – 10:30AM

Scallop pickup: 10:30AM – 12:00 PM

Location: UF/IFAS Ext. Bay County Office (2728 E 14th St. Panama City, FL)

Volunteer Requirements

To become a scallop-sitter with the FWC for the 2020-2021 year, we will need some information from you to complete our permit.

As a reminder, the only requirements to participate in this program are the following:

• Live near St. Andrew Bay from June – January

• Availability to pick-up scallops June 12th or 13th, between 9:00AM and 12:00PM.

• Workshop & Pick-up Location: UF/IFAS Ext. Bay County Office (2728 E 14th St. Panama City, FL)

• Have access to the bay: either a private dock, boat, or kayak

• Be willing and able to care for and clean scallops once a month from June – January

• Attend or view via webinar our scallop-restoration workshop
