This course is designed to allow the PALS students to utilize the ALC AHA curriculum and then complete a 1 day live course. This gives the learner the ability to work at their own pace and review course material more thoroughly, then finally finishing the 1 day hands on event to solidify their knowledge.
This is a 1 day live class that is from 9am-5pm. You are required to complete the online portion of your PALS course via the ALC (avg. time to complete is ~10hrs). When you complete Part 1 on the ALC, print the Part 1 certificate of completion and bring it to this live class. Please be aware that you need to attend the live hands-on Part 2 class to get credit for completing your PALS certification.
*****Failure to arrive prepared with a certificate or failure to attend the live class will result in an unexcused absence, which is considered a work day.*****
A PALS book is not required to complete the online portion of Part 1, since the book is available through the course as a learning resource. However, if you would like, PALS books are available in the Education Department for check out or for purchase ($65 a book).
1. Check your ALC for the PALS assignment, many should have an auto renewal 60days prior to the due date.
