2020 LA-based Artistic Director, Deborah Brockus, labeled "the single most important person in South-land dance” by the LA Times, plugs us directly into the vibrant LA dance scene, curating an exciting evening of dance for presentation at the historic Annenberg Theater at the Palm Springs Art Museum. Expect exemplary, spirited dance by award winning companies and an experience never had before in the Annenberg. We are adding to its storied past with a story of our own!

Scheduled to Perform:

• BrockusRED – Founded in 1994 by Artistic Director Deborah Brockus, this company has toured the US and internationally. The company is known for its big energy, innovative and accessible work that is an intersection of concert and commercial dance that leaves audiences inspired and happy. (BrockusRED.org)

• Luminario Ballet – Founded in 2008 and headed by Artistic Director Judith FLEX Helle, Luminario Ballet is a contemporary neo-classical ballet company also presenting a modern dance repertory and amazing aerial dance. Recent recipient of a NEA grant to tour India, they have been noted as being “vivid, inspiring, luminous” ~Joanne Zimbler, Explore Dance.com (luminarioballet.org)

Lula Washington Dance Theater - Founded in 1980 by Lula and Erwin Washington, this is a contemporary dance company with a strong Afro-Afro Haitian influence, and is known for powerful, high-energy, innovative and provocative choreography which has also been seen in the film “Avatar” and “The Little Mermaid” movies.
