Palliative Care and Hospice: A Perfect Partnership

This course will provide practitioners with a detailed understanding of the differences between palliative care and hospice and how they benefit our patients when utilized as partners.

Throughout the presentation participants will be encouraged to discuss their own experiences with patients in need of supportive services and the challenges they, as clinicians, face when explaining the different options. Patient scenarios eliciting group discussion are intended to engage varied types of learners. These scenarios will elicit group discussion regarding the best service choice for each patient using the guidelines explained in the presentation.
