It's way past due that we gather on the other side of the Bay . We will sample a range of delicious Asian Fusion dishes at Le Cheval --not dinner, more like Asian tapas--paired with some terrific wines from East Bay urban wineries. We will showcase a dozen varietals, which we will rate and rank, from the East Bay Urban wineries ("The case for Le Cheval") curated by the President of the Bay Area Wine Society.
The restaurant @ 1007 Clay Street, Oakland, is less than two blocks from the 12th St. BART station and across the street from a parking structure.
$20.00 + processing fee is all inclusive (tax and service). Must be prepaid. Refunds given up to Tuesday, Oct. 23rd. The first 20 from several Meetups to prepay are in. RSVPs won't hold a place for you.
Le Cheval, located in Old Oakland, introduced new Asian flavors into America, particularly Vietnamese cuisine. This style incorporates the French, Chinese and Southeast Asian cooking concepts of preparing wholesome, nutritious and special dishes that emphasize quality with quantity. Fresh vegetables, nuts and spices are all essential ingredients to preserve this tradition of cooking. Everyone knows that the secret to healthy living is good nutrition and a balanced diet. So it’s no coincidence that a combination of any of these will be found in almost every dish. Le Cheval is proud to continue that tradition and is dedicated to maintaining the harmony between mind and body through healthy eating.
