Painting Florals from a Photograph (Zoom)
Overview
Join us on Zoom for this three-day Valentine’s-themed art celebration and paint beautiful, realistic flowers! (February 6,7, & 8)
Whether you’re new to oil painting or have years of painting experience, this workshop offers all artists the opportunity to build on existing knowledge or begin realist painting with a solid understanding of traditional, dependable techniques rooted in realism.
We’ll begin with a foundation of wash drawing, then explore accurate color-mixing methods designed to capture the hue, value, and chroma of each flower. Working from a carefully-selected photographic reference (provided by the instructor), participants will develop their compositions and gain the confidence to paint a variety of floral arrangements in their home studios.
This workshop suits all skill levels. Participants are encouraged to work at their own pace and paint either sitting or standing which will ensure a comfortable and enjoyable learning experience for all.
Participants may paint in the studio in Manchester, CT, or join us through Zoom from anywhere in the world! The instructor will lead demos and critiques live on Zoom and email videos of both to participants at the end of each day.
If you know a special someone who would love to attend this event, ask for a Valentine’s Day Gift Certificate for a very special Valentine’s Day present! 🎁 Provide details upon registration or contact the studio to explore presentation options.❣️
