Make Hay While the Sun Shines is a dance of constant change. The dancers Iréne Hultman, Katy Pyle and Stina Nyberg bring their own movement histories into one fast dance, resulting in something that might look like life itself - irregular, fascinating, unsuccessful, stumbling, loving and pretty unpredictable.
Make Hay While the Sun Shines is a project initiated in 2019 and has up until today resulted in a series of dances, a short film and a publication. For Pageant, a new dance in the series is created.
Sweet is sometimes described as a choreography for the attentive. Sometimes just as a mortal dance. In Stina Nybergs solo she departs from the mind-boggling perspective of billions of years in order to talk about her own assholeness. Or perhaps it is the reverse, departing from her own asshole to talk about eternity. In any case, aided by a dance practising the attention of a bird, she hones in on the details of existence, spanning from the very intimate to the very existential.
”That it will never come again is what makes life so sweet.” – Emily Dickinson
