Event description
Come paddle Whiskey George Creek and learn about our diverse ecosystem.

About this Event

Apalachicola Riverkeepers and the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve’s Coastal Training Program will be hosting a 4-5 mile round trip paddle on Whiskey George Creek. The protected waters of salt marsh and a slow moving creek make this an excellent event for beginner and intermediate paddlers. Attendees will need to bring their own equipment including kayaks, life jackets, drinking water, as well as any sun protection they may need. This will be a great opportunity to see a variety of habitat from a different vantage and learn about how these sloughs and tributaries contribute to our local ecosystem.

This event is in conjunction with Paddle the Gulf, an organization dedicated to connecting new paddlers to coastal streams and rivers that flow into the Gulf of Mexico so they can find their adventure with a purpose!
