Event description

Description

This will be our Fall Camping option for this year. Key things about this option, including some parameters as specified by the Adventure Park:

* We will be given 1 large camp site that holds a maximum of 20 tents. I am assuming there will not be much space available between tents. I do not know the dimensions of camp site, but please do not bring a very large tent which would limit others. We will have access to this site from 3:00 PM onwards.

* Adventure Park requires at least 20 paid climbers (we can have more), which can be either a child or adult (or both). They will charge us for 20 climbers even if we have less than 20 climbers. The climbing session will be at 5:30 - 8:30 PM. So the hope is you get to the campsite shortly after 3:00 so you can setup and decompress for a bit before the climbing period. Please note: You can attend but not climb, but we still need at least 20 climbers from our group. Also, the Adventure Park allows kids that are 5-6 years old, but they require a parent to go with the child and that means 2 climbing tickets; forewarning - they have limited rope courses for this age group.

* The camp sites have to be back to normal by 11:00 AM the following morning. The assumption is most people will pack up and leave after breakfast.

* We need to pay for the site and tickets 2 weeks in advance of the booking date. So this registration ends in time so we can provide the full payment to the Adventure Park.

* If we are forced to cancel this event due to weather (rain or too cold), then we can postpone this reservation, but we will not be given a refund from the Adventure Park.

* Regarding food and meals, apparently there is a central campfire for the site. This makes it easy for us to do smores or something similar, but there are limited options for central cooking. I am not sure how to best handle this, but in past years each family was responsible for bringing their own food and meals (which would be for dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday). This seems easiest for everyone, but the Pack can provide some basic non-perishables. We are charging a small fee per person for these Pack food supplies. More details later about this once we have a final registration.

There are several Porta Pottys in the front of the Adventure Park near the parking area, so we will try to get a camp site as close as possible to the front.
