Join us for a free forum to reflect on, and improve the way they work with parents and families affected by child exploitation.

About this Event

Our Child Exploitation Forum is an opportunity to hear from other professionals tackling CSE, County Lines / Child Criminal Exploitation, listen to innovative techniques that are having a positive impact and reflect on how to improve multi-agency responses.

You will also have the opportunity to hear lived experiences from parents whose children are being exploited and how the quality of support they receive impacts the safety and wellbeing of their family.

Speakers

PC Russ Massie, Safer Schools Officer, Oxford

As a Safer Schools Officer in Oxford, Russ works closely with children and young people who are being criminally exploited into County Lines. Russ will share his experiences engaging and supporting families to improve the outcomes and safety of exploited children.

Jayne Horan, Greater Manchester Complex Safeguarding Lead

Jayne coordinates Greater Manchester’s response to child exploitation. Jayne will talk about how they have improved the awareness and responses to children at risk of being exploited through the Complex Safeguarding Hubs across Greater Manchester.

Lindsay Dalton, Head of Training and Partnerships, Pace

Lindsay has set up multi-agency partnerships across the country and supported families to achieve convictions in high profile CSE court cases. Lindsay has over 10 years of experience managing front-line child exploitation teams. Lindsay will draw on the direct impact supporting families has on CCE and CSE cases in the multi-agency teams Pace has partnerships in.

Affected parents

Hear lived experiences from parents whose children are being sexually and criminally exploited and the way a different approach from children’s agency’s can impact their family and safety of their child.
