Oxford Orphanage Visit and Cookout
The WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and WHY...
WHO - Open to everyone who loves kids!!! Sponsored by Friendship Lodge #763, Broadway, NC
WHAT - We are visiting the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford. This home began as the Oxford Orphanage and many still refer to it as such. Please click on this link to visit their website and read the wonderful stories of how lives have been changed and effected for over the http://mhc-oxford.org/
WHEN - Saturday, October, 22, 2016 (on the campus from 11am - 1pm)
WHERE - 600 College St, Oxford, NC (or meet at my office at 9am and we can caravan together).
WHY - "MHCO exists for one purpose — to help children who need a stable, caring and loving home.We do not replace a family — we provide. We teach, guide, nurture, and share, focusing on life both at and after MHCO, so we can help a child determine his or her own path for the future. Our state licensed and nationally accredited home uses a family-living model that provides our children with individual living spaces, essentials needed for daily living, support if they have special needs, and a promise for full development and learning, from infant to young adulthood." (from the MHC-Oxford website)
If you are interested in joining us on this visit, please let me know. You do not have to be a mason or even have to know one (but if you are reading this message, you already do). This invitation is open to all my friends, family, and Masonic brothers and their families.
While there, we will tour the campus, visit with the children and house/cottage parents, and enjoy a meal together!
If you'd like to support this cause and are not able to attend on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016; you still can. If you have any items to donate (see needs list on the website above), please coordinate to get them to me and I'll be glad to get them to the kids. Or if you would like to provide any financial assistance, I know they will appreciate any amount and I can assist in getting that to them as well.
Call/email/text me with any questions at all.
