Real Estate practitioners provide housing solutions for buyers, sellers and tenants serving niche services to a group of people, communities and market segments. Today’s consumers are savvier, more informed, and better connected than ever before. They share information, express their opinions, and influence one another’s decisions in ways that traditional means of advertising and marketing can’t comprehend or market to effectively. 

To succeed, real estate practitioners must be adaptable and their services constructed around the lives of consumers as subject matter experts specializing in a specific housing product/service.  

Niche brand building will take a concerted effort. You must focus your mind on the needs and wants of your targeted market.  

Frame your Brand – While planning your niche brand, you must keep in mind some important things about your business. These are:  

  • Who is your target client, prospect, or customer?
  • How will you be introduced to or approach these people?
  • What are their biggest burdens and the problems they face?
  • How do you intend to affect these and/or how can you solve their housing problems?
  • What makes your offer better than your competitor’s?

The main purpose of niche brand building is creating a lasting impression on your target market. Building a brand while focusing on your niche does take some time. However, given effort and focus, it will develop you as a name in your niche. Soon, those in your target niche market will recognize you.

Cathy McDaniel is the author of A Road Map To Saving Your Home" which is available at the National Association of REALTORS bookshelf. Cathy has just released her current book “The Route to Homeownership” Generational Differences in Home Buying

Being in the real estate and mortgage industry since 1993 she opened "My CE Class, LLC" in 2007, a real estate school approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission. Cathy has conducted over 1,500 live continuing education classes, authored 150+ training manuals and has met and trained more than 100,000 real estate professionals throughout 23 states since 2007. She is licensed as a continuing education instructor at many real estate boards and associations across the country. 

Cathy is recognized as an industry expert in homeownership and received from Georgia Real Estate Educators Association the 2016 “Outstanding New Program Course” and the 2008 “Educator of the Year. Today she serves as the Administrator for the new Atlanta Training Campus a divison of the Atlanta Maxim Realty International. She has a partnership with Barney Fletcher Schools, OnCourse Learning and D.R. Horton Communities, and many others which allows her to offer free classes and community events. Today she serves as the Director of Education at Atlanta Training Campus, and the 2019 Membership Director for Georgia Real Estate Educators Association.

Cathy's new home for continuing education, certificate and designation courses will be sponsored held at The Atlanta Training Center, 6251 Smithpointe Drive, Bldg. B. Peachtree Corners, GA 30092. The campus will offer training for real estate practitioniers, mortgage and insurance industry.
