Owl Prowl – Seven Lakes State Park
Event Information
About this Event
Bring the whole family as we learn about owl adaptations and explore the park in search of Barred Owls and Eastern Screech Owls with our partners at the Department of Natural Resources.
Meet us at the Dickinson Shelter at 6pm as we warm up over cocoa, coffee and tea and learn about some of the adaptations that owls have that make them excellent hunters of the night!
We'll then explore two main areas of the park in search of owls and end the evening back at the shelter warming up with more hot beverages and s'mores.
Please bring your own binoculars if you have them! A few extra pairs will be provided if needed. Please layer up for the cold! We'll primarily be walking on paved trails. Feel free to bring a headlamp, but we will do our best to walk in the dark, so our eyes can adjust and we can spot the owls in the moonlight!
We hope to see you there!
