Owen Sound event! Join Walk to Freedom marchers at the Grey Roots Museum & Archives for a symbolic 2.5 mile freedom walk to the 163rd annual Emancipation Picnic & Festival - the longest and most continuous festival in North America!

The Emancipation Festival is a day filled with history, culture, and community. Take a step back in time as we explore the last miles of the Northern terminus of the Underground Railroad. Journey with us to freedom and celebrate the resilience of Freedom Seekers who fought for their liberty from the U.S. government. This in-person event promises to be both educational and inspiring. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with others and honor our shared history. Lace up your shoes and walk with us towards a brighter future!
