OVERFLOW GATHERING // January 26
Event Information
About this Event
Overflow is a college ministry for 18-to-25 year olds who gather on Tuesday nights for a time of community, teaching, and worship.
We want you to know that your health and wellbeing are extremely important to us. We are committed to following established guidelines outlined by state health officials and the leadership of our church to be safe and responsible in this season. This will include reduced capacity, a mask requirement, and physical distancing measures.
If you are familiar with Overflow, this means that parts of our gathering will look different, but these changes will allow us to meet and grow together as we continue to learn and follow after Jesus! There is power in gathering in person, so we are choosing to be flexible and navigate this uncertain season. We believe that because God is stable- we can be flexible!
So, for the time being, registration for Overflow Gatherings will be required through Eventbrite.
On Tuesday, Check-In begins at 7:00pm and the Gathering will start at 7:30pm.
Below we have more information and instructions to help you maximize your Overflow experience in this season:
Reservations:
In order to allow adequate physical distance and to reduce capacity in our gathering space, we are putting a temporary cap on our attendance. The maximum attendance for this weeks gathering will be 350. Completing this Eventbrite process reserves your spot, but to claim your spot you must check-in at Overflow by 7:25pm!
At 7:25pm, unclaimed spots will be released and we will start allowing those on the wait list who have been personally contacted by an Overflow Staff Member to Check-In. This makes it very important that if the Gathering reaches capacity before you reserve your spot, that you "join the waitlist" so we can hopefully find a seat for you as spots open!
If you need to cancel your reservation at any time, please go to your confirmation email and click “View and manage your online order." You will then select "Cancel Order". This will free up your spot to another student hoping to attend!
Masks & Physical Distance:
In alignment with state guidelines, masks are required throughout the night. So we ask that you wear a mask from the point of getting out of your car until you return at the end of the night. If you do not have a mask, we will be happy to provide one for you. As you move through the night we ask that you keep physical distance from others.
Arrival & Check-In:
Once you find a spot in the parking lot, you can head towards the main entrance of the church building (the main doors across from the pond on Vision Drive!) Check-In will begin at 7:00pm. To check-in, you will need the QR code that you receive from Eventbrite, either by email or the app. Please have your QR code ready to be scanned when you arrive.
If you are new to Overflow, make sure to drop by the Overflow Tent before going into the building! There will be people there ready to meet you, show you around, and help you find a place to sit.
Seating:
Once you are checked in, our Host Team will give you further instructions and help you find physically-distant seating in the main auditorium. Please follow these guidelines for finding a seat: if you live together or ride together, you can sit together! No more than 6 people can sit together in a group, and you must leave 3 seats between each group. Thanks for doing your part to help us stay within state guidelines!
Last Thoughts:
If you or someone you live with isn’t feeling well or has had a fever in the last 48 hours, please err on the side of caution and stay home. You can stay connected with us digitally by watching Overflow online! A YouTube Live link will be available on our website.
Again, if you decide to cancel your reservation at any time before Tuesday afternoon, please “cancel your order” on Eventbrite to make space for someone on the waiting list.
Thank you for reading. We hope to see you at Overflow soon!
