Learn how to recognize and respond in an opioid overdose - free narcan SAVE A LIFE

About this Event

Prescription drug overdose is the number one cause of accidental death in the United States, with opioid pain medication being the most common problem. An overdose can be caused by opioid pain medication, heroin or fentanyl. This free class will provide participants with:

  • Information on the current opioid crisis
  • Understanding how addiction affects the brain
  • Information about the Adverse Childhood Experience study and the connection to substance use disorder
  • Learn about harm reduction as a pathway of recovery
  • Ability to recognize an opioid/heroin overdose
  • Learn how to respond using naloxone aka Narcan

Everyone attending is eligible for a free naloxone kit

Attendees can be 13 years and older - To receive a free naloxone prevention kit you must be 18 years or older
