If tickets sales are closed, you can still enroll at https://womengetfunded.com/ownyournumbers/

Funder's $ block is the feeling of disempowerment when you are talking about $$$ numbers with a potential investor.

Symptoms include:

  1. A knot in your throat
  2. An uncomfortable silence
  3. A sense of slight incompetence (specially damaging because you know your stuff!)
  4. A feeling of losing the interest of a potential investors
  5. Self-doubt that lingers long after the conversation

As an investor, I’ve watched hundreds of driven, enthusiastic, passionate, well-prepared women pitch wonderful ideas only to be completely frozen when asked about “the deal”. Their confidence skyrockets when they talk about the market needs, their solutions, and the issues they are solving. But their confidence takes a deep deep dive when they need to answer these key questions: How much money are you looking for, what are you going to use it for and what do you want in exchange. And they hit a wall, I've called it a Funder's $ block.

Women are no different than men in the sense that, if they are underprepared when it comes to defending their numbers, they feel intimidated by investors, and they miss basic negotiation skills that would take them from dreamers to doers. It is impossible to defend your funding needs if you don’t know how to validate your funding needs, and more so, how to justify your hard earned sweat equity.

Watching unprepared and disempowered entrepreneurs is painful, but worse even, you only get a short first time to make a first impression. Not being able to have a professional conversation about your funding needs, limits your credibility and might impact your chances to get funded in the future.

Join us for this hands-on training workshop to help you understand your funding needs and gain the competence and confidence to have a professional conversation with investors about your funding round.

Based on one of our most popular sessions at WomenGetFunded, we are extending this invitation to women entrepreneurs that need to master their $ funding conversation by learning how to use our Founders cash flow simulation.

You will learn how to use a cash flow simulation to:

  1. Establish your funding needs.
  2. Stage your funding needs so you de-risk your company, reduce time to close and avoid unnecessary dilution,
  3. Define if there are any creative unfunding mechanisms that might reduce your funding needs
  4. Calculate the value of your creativity (above) so you don’t destroy your equity
  5. Determine your value proposition for an early equity funder: what to give in exchange for what.

This workshop is for you if:

1. You are struggling with validating your funding needs

2. You feel disempowered by the numbers

3. You don’t know how to break your funding round in chunks of manageable risks.

4. You want to get funded in the next 6 months, not 3 years.

This is a hands-on workshop so be prepared to work on the financial projections of your business idea. Participants need to bring a computer and be ready to work individually and discuss results with others. You will leave with a clear idea of your funding needs, broken down in stages, supported by facts, and you will master your $ numbers in a way that you can have a professional conversation with investors.
