Gary Jinks is President of GLJ Group, providing business development, startup acceleration and product commercialization services. He is also the Founder and Managing Director of South Valley Angels, providing early stage and seed funding. Gary is a graduate of the US Army NCO Academy, Portland State University Systems Engineering Program and received a BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Gary began working with startups in 1998 during the DotCom boom and is a mentor for the Santa Clara Entrepreneur Program.
John Matthesen began his career in restaurants, first as a chef and then in hotel management. He made the jump into the high-tech scene, working with two zero-to-IPO companies. After working worldwide in tech, John returned to his roots in food and is now promoting the AgTech industry. He started his own urban farm and is a Professor of Urban Farming and Farm to Table in the culinary department at Diablo Valley College, He also works in an AgTech startup. John is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Ephraim Lindenbaum is the Founder and Managing Director of Advance Ventures, a Silicon Valley based venture investment fund and accelerator that invests in seed and early stage startups across three core sectors: sustainability (AgTech, CleanTech, FoodTech); mobility (communications, IoT, mobile); and information technology (enterprise, consumer-facing).
Mike Dovbish is Executive Director of Nutrition Capital Network (NCN), providing strategic guidance and preparing participating companies for NCN Investor Conferences. Since NCN's inception in 2007, Mike has worked with presenting companies on their business plans, pitch presentations and overall strategy to best position them for growth and investment. He received a B.A. in political science from the University of California, Irvine and an MBA from Boston University.
