Event description

Description

Frankie Bones
2018 was a transformative year for Frankie Bones as he developed his love of visual art form while headlining the likes of Barcelona, Denmark, atTresor in Berlin and also at the widely anticipated 30 year anniversary party for Amnesia House in England. He is in the year end issue of Big Shot Magazine and has just been booked to play Rezerection in Scotland and a return date in the UK for Amnesia House in April 2019 – in addition to his stateside dates.

Most recently, Frankie was recognized by publications like DJ Mag, Resident Advisor, Vice’s Thump, Red Bull Music Academy, Insomniac, and The Daily Beast for his massive contributions to our scene and the 2017 re-release of “Call It Techno” on Carl Cox’ Intec label. As a true innovator with a style like no other, Frankie Bones continues to push the boundaries of electronic music. He’s always been able to lead us on a memorable journey through sound, from when he first appeared in 1989 at Energy Rave for a sunrise set that saw 25,000 people to headlining the midnight set forInsomniacs NYE 2000 millennium event and 2016’s 20thAnniversary of Electric Daisy Carnival that broke the record for the most attendees in American Rave history with over 400,000 people.
But let’s go back for a brief moment, to recognize Frankie’s integral contribution to Germany’s Love Parade which took it’s name “The Future is Ours” and “My House is Your House” for it’s 1990 and 1991 Love Parades from Bones’ “Call It Techno” EP which sold out several initial pressings consecutively in 1988 and 1989. The single most instrumental force in birthing the American rave scene, Frankie’s (actually) legendary STORMRave series came at a time when violence was rampant in NYC and was based on the premise of bringing peace through music. He and his brother Adam X, both graffiti artists, created the masterpiece “Peace Love Unity Movement” on several train cars in NYC and PLUM, eventually transforming into the PLUR mantra from a famous speech Frankie gave at a rave in the Bronx, NY was born, becoming an internationally adopted moniker for the global rave community – and Bones’ DJ career skyrocketed.

The details for his new release(s) are not yet available but one thing you can count on is that for Frankie, there is no stopping, his history being long and storied well past the full bio linked below.
