Event description
Come just as you are and worship outside among friends! Bring a folding chair, wear a mask and stay socially distant as we gather together.

About this event

Caring People, Sharing God's Love...

All are welcome to celebrate the Good News each Sunday with us in God's natural sanctuary. We will gather in the parking lot behind First Church Sandwich, located at 136 Main Street. Bring a folding chair, wear a mask and stay socially distant as we gather together as God's beloved community while our indoor sanctuary undergoes construction.

Outdoor Worship Information for 10am Service

• The three handicapped parking spaces are available for those in most need. When people register Jennie F. will assign the three spots each week.

• Masks are required and must be worn by all attendees and worship leaders

• 6 Feet social distancing will be maintained at all times

• Worship participants are asked to bring their own folding chair

• Hand sanitizer will be outside and available, along with the offering basket on the visitor table

• Deacons will have extra masks in case of emergency

• If inclement weather is forecasted for Sunday morning, we will cancel worship service and provide notice of the cancellation on the website, Facebook and church phone answering machine as early as possible, but no later than 7:30am on Sunday morning.

• There will not be singing as a congregation, however there will be music provided by Roy and Kathy

• Please refrain from entering the church building. Restrooms will not be available.

• If any of the following are true you should not attend service:

o You are experiencing a fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, fatigue, headache, muscle/body aches, runny nose/congestion, new loss of taste or smell, or nausea, vomiting or diarrhea

o If you have had “close contact” with an individual diagnosed with COVID-19. “Close contact” meaning living in the same household, caring for a person who has tested positive, being within 6 feet of a person who has tested positive, or coming in direct contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19

o If you have been asked to self-isolate or quarantine by your doctor or local public health official

Please remember we are doing everything possible to make worship an inviting and safe space. However, it is a personal decision on the level of risk/possible exposure you are willing to take. Each person is different- some may want to wait until there herd immunity while others may be ready to return to worship immediately. If you do not feel ready to meet in person, please know that our church will honor and support your decision. It is not a reflection on your faithfulness. If you feel uncomfortable attending that’s OK, we will be live streaming the service on and it will be played on Sandwich Public Television, channel 14 on Mondays at 6pm and Wednesday at 2pm.
