Outdoor Tech Panel: Innovations for the #Adventure Seeker
We're going to talk to the leading innovators in outdoor tech and learn about what they're building, why they're building it, and where their own adventures take them. We'll dive into what it means to experience nature and how the addition of technology both benefits and hurts that experience. Of course, we'll still do some rock climbing first.
- Jonathan Cedar, CEO of BioLite
- Jeff Crystal, COO of Voltaic Systems
- Daniela Perdomo, Co-Founder & CEO of goTenna
Moderated by Sarah Knapp, Founder & CEO of Outdoorfest.
Startup Rock Climbing is a unique event where members come to climb, sweat, and learn something new. If it's your first time climbing this is a great way to give it a shot. If you're interested in the startup world this is a great way to make friends and meet professionals at the top of their field. We're not hosting an awkward happy hour with shitty pizza.
No worries. Just bring yourself and somewhat athletic clothes. Jeans still work, but shorts, yoga pants, etc. will make things easier on you. We'll supply your gym pass, harness, and special climbing shoes. We'll give you a climbing buddy that will help you get started. After it's all done, there's a free "treat yourself" beer on us too.
Here's how it works:
- 7:00-8:30: Rock Climbing
- 8:30-9:15: #ClimbTalk Panel with BioLite, Voltaic, and GoTenna
- 9:30: 2-for-1 drinks at our favorite bar around the corner
When & Where
Startup Rock Climbing
Tim, Scott, and Jake are the organizers of Startup Rock Climbing. It's a bunch of startup people and young professionals in the city who get together to climb and learn something new. No formal networking, no business card exchange, focusing on having fun and building organic relationships.
