This hands-on shooting workshop will improve your outdoor portrait techniques. You will learn how to photograph people using models in various lighting situations including soft light and hard light modified using fill and/or bounce reflectors. Exposure options including shallow depth of field focusing strategies will also be taught. Students will be allotted time to photograph models in multiple lighting situations. Post production techniques will be shown using Adobe Lightroom.
Participants should have a good command of their DSLR camera, in order to concentrate on the content of their photographs. Bring additional memory cards and spare batteries, as well as any fixed- focal-length lens you have!
What to Bring:
Please bring your camera, notebook, and pen. Be sure that your camera battery is charged and that you have a memory card with room on it for photos. A portrait lens (fixed 50mm, 85mm, or 100mm) is recommended for this course.
