Having strong local partners that support small businesses is key to the success of New York City’s commercial districts. Our Nonprofit Management workshop content is curated to help staff and board members at nonprofit economic development organizations that execute commercial revitalization projects in their neighborhoods.

Location: 110 William Street, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10038

Description:

Clarifying your program's intended outcomes is the first step of any measurement process, but the next steps are just as critical to creating a plan that is both meaningful and manageable. This session will explore those steps - namely, how to determine exactly what you should measure and how. We will discuss how to determine appropriate indicators of success, as well as the pros and cons of surveys, focus groups, and other data collection tools, and strategies for ensuring validity and sustainability. Total course hours: 1 session, half day (10:00am - 1:00pm).

You will learn how to:

  • Identify appropriate indicators for your priority outcomes
  • Determine which measures are most realistic for your organization
