Event description
Harford County youth and young adults, ages 15-25, will use their powerful words and their passionate voices to bravely share their stories.

About this event

Hosted by Alyssa K. Cole, Author, Poet, and Career Counselor

Join us for this very special, first-time-ever event for local teens, young adults, and adults of all ages, as we celebrate the connective power of spoken word poetry.

Harford County youth and young adults, ages 15-25, will use their powerful words and their passionate voices to bravely share their stories, their feelings, their passions, and their souls. Don't miss this opportunity to acknowledge, listen to, learn from, and celebrate the voices of our young people!

Spoken word poetry is poetry intended for performance. It can contain elements of rap, hip-hop, storytelling, theater, and jazz, rock, blues. and folk music. It is characterized by rhyme, repetition, improvisation, and word play.

Please note that some performances may address adult topics.
