Description

The Caroline Scott Players, the Oxford Community Art Center's resident semi-professional theatre company is bringing "Our Mother's Brief Affair," a comedy/drama by Richard Greenberg, to the OCAC stage. The production will be directed by Bill Brewer.

On the verge of death for the umpteenth time, Anna (Lavin) makes a shocking confession to her grown children: an affair from her past that just might have resonance beyond the family. But how much of what she says is true? While her children try to separate fact from fiction, Anna fights for a legacy she can be proud of. With razor-sharp wit and extraordinary insight, Our Mother’s Brief Affair considers the sweeping, surprising impact of indiscretions both large and small.

The play, which made its New York debut in January of 2016 received Golden Globe winner Linda Lavin, who received wide critical acclaim for her performance as Anna. The New York Times called the production "sparkling and exquisite."

The Caroline Scott Players are excited to bring this new play to Oxford. Join them on April 7 & 8 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and on April 9 from 2 to 4 p.m.
