Our Kids Our Business 11th Annual Training

Please join us for a training on Motivational Interviewing on Wednesday, April 19, from 1:00-5:00pm at the Spokane Regional Health District Auditorium. The cost is $40.00/person. Doors open at 12:30pm.
The training will be led by Casey Jackson, Director of the Institute for Individual and Organizational Change (IFIOC). Casey has been training nationally on Motivational Interviewing since 2002. He has worked in the behavioral health field for 30 years. Casey was a therapist in child welfare, treatment foster care, and in a sexually aggressive youth program.
The objectives for this training include:
a. Recognize Stages of Change to assess readiness for change.
b. Identify how “Equipoise” affects the MI process.
c. Demonstrate how reflective statements can express Empathy.
d. Begin to recognize Resistance Talk, Sustain Talk, and Change Talk.
