About this Event
With entire regions across the world at risk from climatic, socio-economic, and health related impacts, Ryan Broughton, CEO, Bravo Team Solutions, LCC, will give a two-part lecture on how Urban Risk Management can be used to identify, and plan for feasible appropriate city-level responses to manage various types of risk.

Ryan Broughton is the CEO and Founder of Bravo Team Solutions, an Emergency Management and Homeland Security consulting services provider based in Denver, Colorado. He serves on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Resilient Power Working Group, the Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP) Task Force for National and Homeland Security, and the Secure the Grid Coalition.
During his professional tenure, Mr. Broughton has managed and supported numerous incidents including Operation Tomodachi, the Fort Hood Shootings, California wildfires, Superstorm Sandy, U.S. Capitol anthrax incident, H1N1 pandemic, multiple hurricanes including Hurricanes Katrina/Rita/Wilma/Ivan/Charley/Isabel, and other similar emergencies.
Mr. Broughton has over 30 years of experience in emergency services and as a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM®), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), and a former member of the North American CEM® Commission.
Mr. Broughton has held positions as the Emergency Manager and Homeland Security Director for the City and County of Denver, as well as Emergency Manager and Homeland Security Director for the City of San Jose, California. Prior to San Jose, he supported the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Army emergency management programs.
