Event Details

"Our Collective Strength" is a community event raising consciousness on the intersections of violence against women, precarious immigration status and human rights inequities by acknowledging and honouring the lived experiences of Women through Poetry, Theatre and Digital Stories. 

This event is organized by the Migrant Mothers Project at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work along with community members and collaboraters including; WHIWH, METRAC, TRCC/MWAR and The Solidarity City Network.  This event is co-sponsored by the Women & Gender Studies Institute at the University of Toronto.

The Migrant Mothers Project is a participatory action research project at the University of Toronto working with migrant women and service providers to examine the immigration policies on the rights, safety and, security of women with precarious immigration status. The project aims to challenge the structural violence of immigration through research, education and advocacy.
