Dear Skipper Otto Community,
We hope you'll join us this October for our member-exclusive BBQ! It's our chance to say thank you for your unwavering support, but it is also your chance to say "farewell" to Skipper Otto himself as he retires from fishing! Never missing a single fishing season for the past 47 years, Otto has demonstrated nothing but kindness, compassion, strength and high spirits, with a work ethic reflective of his passion for ocean conservation.
Join us Saturday, October 15th from 1:00-4:00pm, rain or shine, at False Creek Fisherman's Wharf to celebrate Otto's legacy, and this fishing season while connecting with your fellow community members. There will be an array of activities, live music, delicious BBQ, refreshments, and prizes! This will also be a great opportunity for you to meet the other hardworking fishermen and staff who brought you your season of seafood, and take a tour of Otto's boat, Omega V, where all the magic happens!
The event is FREE for members and their immediate family! If you have friends or family interested in the CSF, they can join on the spot at the sign-in table for free admission, or purchase tickets at the door, if space is available ($20 for adults and $10 for children under 12).
Tickets are limited so reserve yours now!
Parking around the wharf is limited, so we encourage you to take transit, bike, or walk whenever possible. You will not be permitted to park at the wharf, but pay parking is available nearby -- please refer to the map on our Facebook page for assistance! There are also EVO and Car 2 Go spaces along Fir Street by the Wharf.
We can't wait to see you all there!
PS: We couldn't pull off this event without your help! If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
