About this event
Ōtautahi Prints is back in a new location: the entry foyer of Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū.
This one-day event runs 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and celebrates original printmaking. The foyer will be filled with 40+ artists showing woodblock, linocut, intaglio, cyanotype, monoprint, screenprint and more. Meet artists from across Ōtautahi and the South Island, browse their booths, and purchase original artworks.Throughout the afternoon there will be live printing demos. Whether you have never seen a press in action and are curious how these works are made, or you would like to learn from local printmakers, come along and watch. Short artist talks will happen on the hour, a chance to hear about process, practice and symbolism.
