Ostomy Awareness: Where Do We Begin?

Join us for an informative Lunch & Learn session focused on ostomy care. This session will give nurses a better understanding of stoma assessment, pouching techniques, common complications, and evidence-based practices. Participants will learn from expert, Jennifer Fjell, a Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse. This in-person event will take place in the York General Hospital Lower Level Conference Room on Thursday, January 8, 2026 starting at 12:00 PM.

Cost is $20.00 per person. Meal is provided with registration.

York General Hospital is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by VTL Center for Professional Development, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

1.0 contact hours will be awarded to all RN's and LPN's who attend the event in its entirety and complete the required evaluation form.

All healthcare providers are responsible for determining if the educational hours awarded will be accepted by their licensing agency or certifying body.
