Description

Join us for an evening celebrating Persian Art!

One of Iran's most accomplished artists, Mostafa Akhavass will be sharing his art work at the Persian Center on Sunday, August 27th and will explore his Persian calligraphy and unique style. We will also be showing a short film that talks about his life and his art work.

Art will be on display and some will be for sale.

In addition to the short film, we will also have a classical Persian music performance joined by Pezhham Akhavass on Tombak (Persian goblet drum) and Shahin Shahbazi on Tar (Persian style lute).

Don't miss this exciting evening to discover and explore Persian art and music. We hope to see you there.

Mostafa Akhavass is a Persian master artist in the forms of traditional crafts such as gilding ”tazheeb” (decorative illustration and inscriptions), calligraphy, Persian enameling “minakari”, ceramic, and Persian miniature painting.

With over forty years of professional experience, Akhavass is widely recognized for his unique and innovative techniques, which incorporate his own refined visual, and conceptual vocabulary with his traditional crafts.
