Osmoces (Open Source Mechatronics Outreach & Creative Exchange Symposium) is the natural progression of the very successful ASME Open Source Microcontroller Workhop.
The event aims to facilitate the flow of knowledge and ideas between its target audience groups, hence the play on the word Osmosis. These groups include high school students and instructors, scientists and engineers, and the Open Source/Maker community. No matter your demographic, your inner geek is guaranteed a great time at Osmoces.
Underlying all this, Osmoces seeks especially to foster & mentor local high school robotics teams and expose them to the fun of engineering.
The event will include workshops, presentations, and displays on Arduino, Soldering Electronics***, Robotics, 3D printers and more.
Non-school entities wishing to either display or have a sales booth of items appropriate to the theme of the event should contact us directly with a description of the technologies or items they intend to sell. Participating organizations will be then sent a paypal invoice directly.
